Arnon Grunberg is a Dutch novelist, essayist, and columnist. He wrote some of his work under the heteronym Marek van der Jagt. He lives in New York. Grunberg made his literary debut in 1994 with the novel Blauwe maandagen (Blue Mondays), which won the Anton Wachterprijs for best debut novel. Since then he has written several books, such as Tirza, Fantoompijn (Phantom Pain), and his latest De man zonder ziekte (The Man Without Illness).
