George Packer (1960) is a publicist, since 2003 he is a journalist of The New Yorker, where he writes about foreign affairs. He lives in New York. He also publishes in other magazines, such as New York Times Magazine, Dissent, Mother Jones, Harper’s, and his writings have been awarded with various awards. He is an author of several books and two novels. His last book is The Unwinding: An Inner History of the New America.
